XWiki, a free, open source, self hosted Wiki that has all the features of Confluence at minimal cost

XWiki is a free, open source, self hosted Wiki with hundreds of extensions that can make it even better than Confluence without the excessive cost. JIRA Integration, Authorization extensions, Theming, Templates, Personal Spaces, User and admin control levels, and so much more. I work through the install, then during the first run wizard, I select a bare minimum option…well….I realized I had messed up, so I go through it again and select the “Demo” Flavor, which gives you a fully setup Wiki ready for production.Timestamps below for those who prefer to jump through.ytube

I set up XWiki together with a nginx reverse proxy according to the instructions here https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Documentation/AdminGuide/Installation/InstallationWAR/InstallationTomcat/ however when adding a blog category in a subwiki is says "server not responding" and refuses to add the category. When adding a blogpost it also gives this error but still adds the blogpost. My suspicion is that I perhaps did not quite get config in server.xml presistent (edited the file in the running docker instance). Not sure about this but it is irritating the hell out of me 🙂 Any advice?

Is there a Wiki that has just a few more features then Gollum, but still creates the Wiki without the database and has git integration? XWiki is a little much for personal notes.

Question about SSL , how to configure ?

Hi, man I loved that tutorial, it’s easy an explains everything. Good Job.

But I would also like to use it for public use for my company.
What I couldn’t figure out, is how to properly set up the SSL Environment (I want authentification over https).

Also also did a Entry here:
    https://forum.xwiki.org/t/using-xwiki-docker-image-with-reverse-proxy/4049/12

How would you implement HTTPS with Letsencrypt for save use ?
