There is no doubt in my mind that aged domains work better than new domain names. They do take a bit of searching to find a good aged domain name but it can be worth it to secure a brilliant domain name that is worth money before you start.
Some domains can be valued at $1000 on Godaddy (not sure if they will sell for that but definitely worthwhile) Give it a try and see how you get on. Build a valuable asset and sell it in a years time when it is ranking in Google.
