What makes epistasis differs to gene modifier? Or are they the same? Pls can someone answer?
"Fus Ro Dah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Love a good Skyrim reference lol
I used this for Freshman year college!
doing self studying bcs my teacher can’t explain it right ;-;
anyone else watching this because there taking bio in 2021
So if anyone needs to know, that example on epistasis that they discussed is specifically recessive epistasis where if the other gene is recessive, the original gene will not show it’s effect.
There’s also dominant epistasis where if the other gene is dominant, the other gene’s effect is seen over the original gene. This is seen in summer squash.
In both cases, if the other gene is dominant and recessive respectively, the original gene will show the phenotype through Mendelian inheritance.
