I had a .tk address as a teen back in the 00s. It utterly blew my mind back then that I could register a domain and put whatever I wanted on it for free!

I remember having like five different .tk domains back in 2007 when I first found out about it.

Seems like it can be abused by unscrupulous people online when a link doesn’t look like a regular URL and people end up clicking it

The article you showed didn’t look too good for Tuvala internet royalties in 2011. Has it turned around?

annoying thing about the emojis is that every company has different emojis and punycodes. most likely why they dont use them for domains

Tuvala also make a lot of money by denominating silver and gold coins with their official Tuvaluan dollar which makes the coins more valuable to collectors because it’s marked in an official currency.

  39. Casey Dalton on October 26, 2021 at 10:49 am

Great video, but from what I know of these countries (some study of these islands at tertiary level) your pronunciation of Tokelau and Tuvalu aren’t quite accurate.
As I understand it they are Tok-ee-lao and Too-var-loo.
Can anyone from these places confirm whether I’ve got that wrong or not?

  40. Inactive on October 26, 2021 at 10:49 am

he keeps saying it wrong lmao

  41. Phoebe Purtill on October 26, 2021 at 10:50 am

I haven’t heard about tokelau since school. It’s one of the smallest countries in the world, in 2003 you could only visit it by boat from new Zealand once every 6 months. It’s four little islands and it already floods very easily.

  42. Christopher Mckay on October 26, 2021 at 10:50 am

  49. Secularanarchist on October 26, 2021 at 11:02 am

Of course he had to mention climate change. What does climate change have to do with domain names?
