I am now on the configure email delivery part of the domain setup from Zoho and I have entered the three MX records listed from zojos website on my domain but when I hit MX lookup from Zoho to confirm it it says it there are no records any ideas?

I am sure I am over analyzing this local domain name stuff but as I understand it i can use .local of .test or .omg or .shtf or any other local domain name i want for the local domain right??? I get that I will l need to add the local domain name to the local DNS server but I am just not clear on which custom domain names i can choose from. Is there a list or can i just make up any local domain name i want???
