How to quickly buy and forward a domain (with google domains)

So, I might be a little late to the party – but recently I figured out that rather than giving people long and complicated URLs, I could buy shorter and cleaner domains and simply set them up to forward to the page I want people to end up at.

This video shows you how to buy a domain with google domains, and forward it to another URL.

The example I use in the video is buying www.cbtrilogy.com and setting it up to forward to https://www.monkeypodmarketing.com/courses/cb-trilogy/

How do I do the opposite I have a google domain that I have tons of content on it including my blog but I want to redirect that one to a new google domain without loosing anyone. Eventually, months down the road I will not renew the old domain once the transition is done. How do I do this?

I don’t know, why I can’t forward to domain to other.

"Disconnect your website before you start forwarding" . I have already deactivated the builder past 7 days.

Before you can forward your domain, you’ll need to disconnect your current website builder account.

You will not lose access to your account and you can always reconnect it later.

Thank you for this. Question, how do I keep the URL address matching my new domain? For example, when I go to sites.google.com/testside/home which is forwarded from mydomain.com, I want it to stay as mydomain.com, I knew it was possible when google domains was still in beta but I can’t find the settings anymore. Thank you!
