How to Get a Free Domain for Your Website in 2020
You’re ready to build your website and you need a domain. You’d like to know how to get a free domain for your website. It is possible to get a free domain for life, but if you’re looking for a free .com domain, most offers only give a .com or other professional domain name for one year.
Given the additional cost of renewing a .com or other domain plus the additional cost of privacy protection (WHOIS), we recommend purchasing a domain from Namecheap, which includes free privacy protection and always has competitive prices for all of their domains.

Freenom offers free domains for life, but do not offer .com, .co or .net domains for free. The five free domains offered by Freenom are .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, and .gq.
Most website builders offer a free domain including .com domains for the first year.
Wix offers a free domain for the first year with any of their plans, the one downside to getting a domain from Wix is that privacy protection is not included with your domain, you must pay an additional $9.90 for privacy protection.
Weebly also offers a free domain name for the first year if you sign up for their professional plan or above. Domains from Weebly include WHOIS privacy protection at no additional cost, but .com domains cost $19.95 to renew, which is higher than most other domain providers.
Squarespace also offers a free domain for the first year when you purchase any of their annual plans. All domains from Squarespace include free privacy protection. Renewals for .com domains cost $20 per year.
If you are building a website in WordPress, you need to purchase hosting. Many of the hosting providers will give you a free .com domain for the first year.
Bluehost includes a free domain with hosting. Domains with Bluehost do not include privacy protection, Bluehost charges $0.99 per month for privacy protection.
HostGator is another popular hosting website. With their hosting plans, you can get a free domain for one year. Privacy protection costs $14.95 per year with HostGator.
We buy all of our domains from Namecheap because they have cheap domains and include free privacy protection. Renewals for .com domains with Namecheap cost $12.98. If you’re looking for a cheap domain name for the first year and every year thereafter, definitely check them out.

Hi. I am confused. You said you bought the domains from namecheap, but use Squarespace to build the sites. Doesn’t sp require that you transfer the domain to them? So that means you will pay their 20$ renewal price. No?
bro, thank u for the information
This is great using namecheap asap
Great video!!
Hi are there any sites that offer free domain (without website builders) and without paying a dime?
This is great using namecheap asap
i fuck ads
That’s not free
sir on fenom it show many option for free but when I click on it, say not available plz
Is it possible to create your own domain name, without paying anything not a year but years? Why do we need to pay domain name, does anyone monopolizing a giving of name ? why they do that? Can you make a video, addressing the following;
1. Why do wee need to pay our domain name ?
2. Why not giving free domain for all, especially those cannot afford?
3. What will happen if you didn’t renew or pay domain name?
4. Do you have any ways to advice on how to hack any domain name?
I wanna know:)) I’m glad if you will make video out of this.
So I assume namecheap is the best option? I just started a small crystal business and I don’t have the funds to be paying an insane amount out of pocket for a domain. Would that be the cheapest option?
