It’s important to keep your domain contact information current.
In this video, you’ll learn how to update your contact information from your GoDaddy account.
GoDaddy uses the contact information in your account to notify you when there are any changes or requests for changes to your domain names, such as transferring your domain to a different registrar, or when your domain is approaching its expiration date.
If you don’t enable privacy on your domain, GoDaddy must share your contact information with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN, who in turn stores your info in the WHOIS database.
The WHOIS database is considered the official record of registration for your domain, and the administrative contact information cited in WHOIS is used for all communications regarding your domain name.
To ensure you don’t miss or delay any communications related to your domain, you should always keep your contact information current with GoDaddy, so we can ensure it is current on WHOIS.
You can quickly view and edit your contact information for your GoDaddy domain name on the Domain Settings page of your account.
To access this page, navigate to the Products page of your account.
Next to the domain name you want to update, click Manage.
Under Contact Information, click the Edit link.
By default, the Use for all contact types box is selected.
You only need to edit the contact information on this screen and it will update all four contact types, which are Registrant, Administrative, Technical, and Billing.
If you want to edit an individual contact, deselect the Use for all contact types box and scroll down to the contact type you want to edit.
Make sure that the information you enter for any and all of the contact types is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Knowingly entering false information for any contact may be cause to revoke your domain name’s registration.
Once you’ve edited the information, click SAVE.
Allow about 24-48 hours for your edits to be reflected in the WHOIS database.
A word of caution; if you update the Registrant Contact’s Organization field, or you update the First name and Last name fields for the Registrant contact, you voluntarily agree to a 60-day lock that prevents you from transferring your domain name.
Is the contact information for your domain current? If it needs to be updated, now you know how!

Godaddy should rethink about people they’re hiring in their support, contacting them while they keep on providing just links to articles.. It’s like you should find the solution by yourself, don’t bother me! They should know that we didn’t contact them until we didn’t find an answer or solution in the forums or Godaddy articles and questions/answers. Day after day I’m getting mad with this services quality you’re providing!
People i cant reach my domain or website whenever I click to edit or add any thing the error page open it’s been 3 months i am westing my time and money and the worst thing is my website not working with safari browser!!! This is the worst experience ever
and it needs 5 days to update
