What is the .com domain?
Stands for “commercial” and is used by mostly commercial websites. However, anyone who wants to register a domain name can register a name ending in .com whether the site is going to be used for commercial purposes or not.
What is the .us domain?
.US is the web address of choice with anyone for a dream to chase, an idea to share, a cause to champion, or a business to promote.

I think .com is the most popular domain extension, statistics say that .com is by far the most used in web searches although it is harder to find names not already taken using .com
