hello I have a general question about VPS.
Once management receives your logins, we set up a VPS system where our team logs in and views your account.
Is this what a VPS is used for?
Is there any way to give partial access to an employee to a website using a VPS or any other tools?

I used a clouding.io vps but now I host my own server
    The up
time is great and it is fun to setup
But the problem is that there is no support and you need to do everything by yourself which can be time consuming and frustating
    Btw great video

I have 2 websites and they are both on Digital Ocean (separate accounts). For one of my websites, everything works smooth and no issues. For my other website, last 2 days it constantly crashes and getting database errors. I have no idea whats going on, but thinking of migrating to shared hosting for that 1 website. With shared hosting, you dont have to do a lot of the tinkering and can get support. For vps like digital ocean, its all you to fix it

hey man, i just wanted to thank you for this great video. it’s the best video on hosting i’ve come across (i went through many!) and i keep coming back to it because the explanation is brilliant. i like your neutral take on the topic. a lot of other youtubers keep pushing their affiliates. i get they need to earn their bread but i wish they’d be more honest – like you!

since watching this whilst i was working on my website last year, this information came in handy multiple times including in my uni coursework (not an IT-related major). for my website, i had a super hard time figuring out hosting as I wanted shift away from blogspot. i took your advice and started with a shared hosting plan. now, i’m thinking maybe i should shift again to improve the site speed so i’m back here for a recap and thought i’d leave you a comment letting you know how useful this video has been.

  21. ROTTER on March 1, 2022 at 11:42 pm

great video man, subbed. I have a dedicated server for my start up company, a YouTube alternative, roxytube.com. I just moved all the videos to digital ocean and am thinking of moving the script files to digital ocean as well, but I do love my dedicated server. nervous about the lack of control with digital ocean droplet, like, no cpanel. I’m not a programmer.

  22. DoomyDe on March 1, 2022 at 11:43 pm

If anyone have any idea, i appreciate your opinions .

  25. The Questioner on March 1, 2022 at 11:50 pm

Also, something important to note is that if you are trying to host something controversial or the subject matter is on a line, so to speak… the ultimate control and your best option would be to have your own server rack with dedicated servers in your home or business or host somewhere that already hosts controversial/adult content like an adult content hosting service. A good example of a provider kicking off a company is from Parlor, the social media company that got removed from AWS hosting, and basically got killed off because they can’t scale their servers for their audience or really can’t accept the total cost of building their own network from scratch. Just try and keep in mind that these hosting companies can take you off their service any time they want, and you’re really only left with a few options, either go to a different hosting provider, go get a lawyer and file a lawsuit (unlikely for a number of reasons), or just host your site yourself people don’t realize that a 10 year old computer can run a single site decently well but there is a technical side to it. Personally, while I don’t need a dedicated server in my home, I have one simply because I like to mess with it, and because I like the freedom to know that I have full control over all aspects of it from the internal hardware, to the back up batteries I have below it. However, I’m not running a business where I sell products myself so if the server goes down while I’m eating lunch, I’m not going to stop eating lunch to go and see what the issue is, I’ll do it later. Also, these servers are expensive… like stupid expensive, and while it’s true you can get second hand enterprise parts for cheap there are obviously a few drawbacks to doing something like this. Ultimately what kind of hosting you want/need all depends on what kind of reliability, not to mention control your willing to let go of or not willing to let go of.

Great, informative, clear, and right to the point! I feel like I understand the varieties of web hosting and which one is better for a certain type of situation. I really appreciate you sharing what set ups you use with WPEngine and Cloudways/Digital Ocean. Now I finally understand for small clients with a low budget and low traffic site, go with a cheap shared web host, but for a client with high traffic match them up with a premium service such as Flywheel, InMotion, WPEngine.

    Live Server vs. Shared Server?

  34. Trid0x_ Official on March 2, 2022 at 12:03 am

I ask for information, they told me that hosting a service such as a video game server, and making it public to everyone with a domain, but hosted on a VPS, it said that it could not be done as it is not a non-dedicated server.
I wonder, can a product hosted on a VPS be made public instead of a dedicated server?

Thank you for these informative videos. I was hoping you could help answer a question for me. I’m trying to look for an up and coming graphic designer and I don’t know where to go to find someone one who is wanting to build their profile while quoting me a decent price? Any ideas about a site or place I can find this person?

  39. Ansar Ul Amin on March 2, 2022 at 12:10 am

ALL the hosting’s are the same the difference is that the more you want to exceed the specs for your business the more you buy a big hosting
Take the example of a car all the cars are the same they all are for driving the difference is that how much cc engine it has how much horse power it has and is it diesel or a petrol engine etc same is the case with hosting server
If I’m wrong then correct me

i host my web in VPS quite a long period, recently get into mobile app development and freeze up all website,
do I need to migrate to Dedicated Server in this context? or just get a beefier VPS. Do most VPS block api service or remote SQL due to traffic?

Hello Sir. I am building a social network site for my industry if work. I need a hosting that can handle about 150 thousand members in the future and still be fast and still have plug ins that work fast. I was thinking about a VPS but can you give me more advice on which one is good and would a VSP be good enough for those numbers of members. Thank you.

Budgets are very important and when you know the pros and cons on what type of hosting you purchase, you know what you might want to give up for what you really need. Thanks again Craylor. CAN YOU PLEASE DO A REVIEW ON SCALAHOSTING. THEY HAVE MANAGED CLOUD VPS PLANS STARTING AT $9. IT INCLUDES 50 GB SSD, 1 CPU CORE, AND 2 GB OF RAM. IT ALSO HAS AN SPANEL WHM CONTROL PANEL(pretty much exactly to cPanel WHM panel). THEY ALSO HAVE GREAT SUPPORT. Not only that, they also offer DigitalOcean servers and AWS servers (only cost $25 with the same specs above) all with their SPanel.
