Bonding Models and Lewis Structures: Crash Course Chemistry #24
Bonding Models and Lewis Structures: Crash Course Chemistry #24
Models are great, except they’re also usually inaccurate. In this episode of Crash Course Chemistry, Hank discusses why we need models in the world and how we can learn from them… even when they’re almost completely wrong. Plus, Lewis Structures!

Which is the strongest bond – ionic or covalent????????
Hank, you said ‘let’s stick to rows 1 and 2 to keep it simple’, and then you used Cl, which is on row 3….
When your teacher doesn’t give a damn so you have to watch YouTube
Have an exam after 2 days
Crash course helped me as always
Thanks 💕💕💕💕
FANTASTIC! I watch it at 75% speed, and some times at even 50%…., and super speed problem is solved☺️👌 (thanks from Spain!)
Ok bro the sentence at the start, if you stop it at 0:10, is very funny. I don’t think it was intentional but someone must have noticed and let it slide
i didn’t know that i didn’t know how to draw lewis structures until this video,,,
Algum brasileiro confuso assistindo? KKKKKKKKK
Thank you I have an exam tomorrow!
This is actually what we learn in grade 9 lmao.
I Love your explanation skills
Could there be other universes? I see it as a many worlds theory if universes were like software on a computer controlled by no one.
Set it to 2x speed
I came for the Brazilians in swim suits and this is what I got.
0:07 dat rap tho
But on searching on Google, there is something known as a Quadruple Bond which forms in transition metals. is that correct? pls help…
9:00 My PhD in Google tells me you’re wrong
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
You guys are amazing. I would have failed so many exams if it wasn’t for CrashCourse.
I love your videos. especially the way you explain
hey! great video, I learned a lot from it, but I just had one question. I learned in my chemistry class that there IS such a thing as a quadruple covalent bond, but it’s extremely rare. Am I confused? is it a typo in the textbook? what’s going on?
Why does it has to have 2 electrons to connect ?
U talk fasy
in carbon dioxide molecule there are two double bonds which means 4 covalent bonds right?
My best and best teacher in the world❤️
So whenever you have to eat something you don’t want to, just tell your parents that you are giving them more energy and forcing you away from your lowest-energy state
I have a test in two days and I’m an ADHD student seated in the back of my class and all i have to say is *chef kiss*
midterm in 2 days. aha. ha.
Can you talk slowly plz
Who else here is 14
ME: WHY DO I HAVE TO STUDY
BRAIN: BECAUSE THE UNIVERSE IS WIERD
If there aren’t tears soaked into your periodic table are you really in advanced chem????
Hiiii! I love these videos! They are very helpful and fun! I was wondering if you could make a video on Periodic Trends on the period table
You stated, I am a model student thus, I am not a real student? Since during this video models are not real.

Myself 16 years old:- what do I prefer to learn, English or Chemistry? English so I can talk with people around the world!
18 year later… Using English to learn chemistry for a bachelor’s degree I need to start a business I love XD
Wait, he only said that there is no quadruple covalent bond! Does that mean…?
quarantine distance learning packet vibes
I’m still too dumb to understand anything chemistry but thank you Hank for making my life a little bit easier 😩
I have a test in 4 hours
