Bonding Models and Lewis Structures: Crash Course Chemistry #24

Bonding Models and Lewis Structures: Crash Course Chemistry #24

Models are great, except they’re also usually inaccurate. In this episode of Crash Course Chemistry, Hank discusses why we need models in the world and how we can learn from them… even when they’re almost completely wrong. Plus, Lewis Structures!

  2. Elise Curran on December 14, 2021 at 1:46 pm

Hank, you said ‘let’s stick to rows 1 and 2 to keep it simple’, and then you used Cl, which is on row 3….

Ok bro the sentence at the start, if you stop it at 0:10, is very funny. I don’t think it was intentional but someone must have noticed and let it slide

Could there be other universes? I see it as a many worlds theory if universes were like software on a computer controlled by no one.

hey! great video, I learned a lot from it, but I just had one question. I learned in my chemistry class that there IS such a thing as a quadruple covalent bond, but it’s extremely rare. Am I confused? is it a typo in the textbook? what’s going on?

So whenever you have to eat something you don’t want to, just tell your parents that you are giving them more energy and forcing you away from your lowest-energy state
