One decision that you’ll have to live with for quite a long time is the domain name of your website. You may have a list of options available, but what should you keep in mind when you sit down to register it? What will resonate most on the vastness of the web? What should you avoid?

Quit informative video… Though few things to point, may help
Too many colors in writing are distracting. Moreover, colors yellow-green becomes too light to clearly present contents of video, i. e. Visibility

Choosing a domain name is similar to choosing a company name: it requires a lot of reflection and consideration. Your domain name is your identity on the web; You want to make sure you choose a domain name that not only fits your business, but is also easy to find and promote.

Great advice I have long been a supporter of Moz, long domain names used to be popular https://www.brasskangaroo.com/news/whats-the-big-fuss-about-long-domain-names-242 at one time, but I think that advice is very dated now

110 thousand, average cost of a DMCA lawsuit causing many serious hesitation when proceeding forward with judicial process beyond DMCA takedown 1. But when you built it from the ground up like you, definitely puts a bulls eye on your back and increases the odds. which is total BS. They’re all welcome to come try to sue me, cuz im broke AF, and DGAF 😀

I have to say, I don’t entirely disagree with what your saying about keywords in the domain & Exact Matches. It is true that in many business models it is unnecessary or would be completely ridiculous, (BuyRedAustinMartin.Car ROFL) but I honestly feel in many instances even now in 2018, it still is giving my websites a very sharp edge that’s cutting the competition! Especially in for instance my adult affiliate sites.

I think Google kind of lets a lot more slide in that battle field. Popups & Popunders firing off like their land mines getting stepped on is common practice not only on my video tubes but everyone else’s as well!

Google seems to be all for it in that demo graph, but transition to amazon affiliate products and your probably gonna get a 5 star slap to the face that leaves a red mark on your ranking lol!

Great! Hi Moz, I am Nick and I am torn to combine my businesses and create a connection between Life Insurance-automated-quoting as well as application-submission and CBD-oil sales. This is to help my clients/prospects to consider life insurance as well as the benefit of using CBD-oil for their future health benefit and perhaps income opportunities.
This combination is with my company’s initials of DNA and CBD, concluding to "DNACBDbenelife.com" for the branding? Do you have a recommendation if I am in the right direction or will this confuse? Thanks, Nick

Another great perspective on choosing a domain name. It would be great if combine it with what I call "one of the best ways to find a domain name"; a method used by Big Companies too!… I already explained it in one of my videos that you can find in my channel. Check it out and like this to let others know how easy and great it was to follow that method.

Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical results with it.

Should you make your domain different to the name of your company? I have a photography portfolio site under the name ‘Josh’s Photography’ Simple, memorable, clear I’m now wondering if it’s a little too simple tho would be a bad idea to have a domain maybie Josh’sGallery.net I’m also wondering about funky domain endings considering. art,.gallery ect.

Domain names are a key part of the Internet infrastructure. They provide a readable address for any web server available on the Internet. IP addresses are difficult to remember and may change over time.
