What is your favorite .com alternative extension? In general, if you’re wondering if .com domain names are better, the short answer is yes. Whenever possible, get a .com. But there are instances where a .net, .co or a country code specific domain name makes a lot of sense.

For which countries is good.com? I would not use it for english languages, but because its not EU, I would choose it. Do I still need to use by .com the cookies? This text, which reader has to agree? Thanks a lot for your answer!!!

I agree with you, I think the importance of the .com is overrated.
Yes, historically the .com was one of the first ever extension, and people used to hear about .com sites from everywhere… Advertisements, radio, tv, newspapars, everywhere, that’s why .com has got that taste of reliability.
But nowadays… who is really browsing the Internet by typing the full name of a website? Who is really going to remember the mystupiddomainname.com to write it on daily basis? The domain name appears only once in front of the visitor, and then s/he either save this website, or subscribes for newsletters or social media. You don’t need to remember the name.
The .com domain in my opinion can be important only for big businesses. For a blog or an online store it is quite indifferent. The thing is you should make an impression of a legit website by the website itself. First of all we are looking for the website and its content, and only after we check the extension if feel something scammy. And a common user doesn’t pay that much attention to all of that stuff as we do.
And don’t forget in the end you can buy another domain with .com extension if you want so, just make a redirect from old site…. that’s all

Can you go further into the copyright infringement information? Here is my question. If I have a squatter for a .com for the same name of my own business, and I purchase a .net/.IO/.co with the same name, but different market, is this illegal?
