10 Best Domain Name Registrars for 2020 Get Your Domain Name Here

What are the best domain name registrars? Let’s take a look at some of the best places to buy a domain name. When looking to register a domain name you want to take a look at a few different things. My fav: https://websitecreativepro.com/namecheap

First would be price. I’ve never understood why anyone would pay $17 for something that could cost $8 somewhere else. Save money and go with a registrar that does not charge high fees.

Next you want to take note to see if you get WHOIS guard for free, what their refund policy is like, do they have a grace period if you forget to renew your domain name, do they have annoying up-sells, how easy is their website to use and so forth. In this video we cover the following:

1 – Namecheap
2 – Google Domains
3 – Domain.com
4 – 1&1
5 – GoDaddy
6 – Hover
7 – Shopify domains
8 – Free domain with hosting
9 – Dynadot
10 – Pork Bun (yes their site is called pork bun)

the price on Dynadot is lower than Namecheap, then why Namecheap?

  11. Youss Yumuk on December 26, 2020 at 7:39 pm

I bought my domain in Godaddy and built my organization. Then they wrote 10 times higher prices in my next year!!! So Asked them how this is possible, they said it is market prices it happens. Then, I had to quit it, because I dont wanna pay ten times higher prices each year and how much it will be in ten years??! lots of trouble because of them. So if you wanna make a brand never ever ever buy a domain from godaddy if you dont wanna end up paying thousands of dollars only for a domain name. Please like my comment so that nobody will lose money like me…

Great video. Godaddy was the worst at upsells. I left them years ago and now went to Namecheap. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome review David! I use Namecheap and Porkbun to buy my domains and I’d say Porkbun is not only cheap but also has several benefits. Very informative content.

  22. Hwei Yi Lee on December 26, 2020 at 8:03 pm

Thanks this is great! Renewal pricing is higher on pretty much all the players though – Namecheap’s renewal (as of Aug 2020) is $12.98 per year and Domain.com is $13.99 per year (excluding WHOIS protection) so there will be an increase in following years but does not change the fact that Namecheap is the cheapest player in the market.

You could have just said anyone but network solutions.

  24. Business And Investment Hub on December 26, 2020 at 8:05 pm

great content , we have to choose right domain registrar when we are starting out .

  25. TriniKing on December 26, 2020 at 8:06 pm

Google also offers free email hosting, up to 100 hundred domain aliases. Name cheap charges an additional 11.88 a year. Google is #1 for me.

  26. Nicholas Okonkwo on December 26, 2020 at 8:06 pm

One of the best domain registrar is NameBright.com because of two reasons:

    1) their interface allows for capitalization of domains, for example MyCoolestDomain.com vs. mycoolestdomain.com. Which one is easy to read and find out if you have more than 100 domains?

    2) they’re affordable at $8.13 for the first year, Whois privacy included. The renewal is less than $10.00 or you can still renew at $8.13 without privacy.

But this registrar is poor with customer service because all their customer support is via email. No phone support like GoDaddy.com or even live texting like NameCheap.com.

They also don’t issue refunds even if you make a mistake with an alphabet. They force you to suck it up, and start all over again. GoDaddy does issue a refund.

If you’re an online marketer who wants to make money with them as affiliate, they don’t have that.

    That’s all my contribution.

  27. Hiraldo Sternflyer on December 26, 2020 at 8:06 pm

I had no idea godaddy was so hated. I’ve not used them myself but I can see how their shady practices upset people.

  28. Universalmusicgroup on December 26, 2020 at 8:08 pm

I prefer to looking at sites that up the competition, not a company who paid the most marketing and influencers w/c a customer gets 0 benefit from.
    https://tld-list.com/
The only thing not too apparent from this list is the company OVH, they have one of the cheapest renewals but the register price is 26$

I came from namecheap, they’re not exactly in the top 5 nor top 10 cheapest domains depending in what you’re looking for. You can click the TLD’s and see something like this
    https://tld-list.com/tld/com

  29. Nina Meas on December 26, 2020 at 8:11 pm

So when you buy the domain name, are you paying for the fee for the domain name and also a one time fee for something else? I was about to purchase the name today but then saw something for a one time fee at godaddy.com

  30. Diwakar Singh on December 26, 2020 at 8:14 pm

Do namecheap supports Java Web applications..?

I was told to register at least five years at a time you said only one year you need to research that I was told differently are you absolutely sure

  33. Aseem Sharan on December 26, 2020 at 8:18 pm

Why dynadot and porkbun are at the bottom of the list?

  34. Trone on December 26, 2020 at 8:19 pm

Solid advice, although I have about 200 domains at namesile.com, and prefer them. Their domain management tools are excellent, whois privacy is FREE, and they’re less expensive than almost anyone else, which is especially important if you have a lot of domains. I’m down from about 500. : )

  35. Adolf on December 26, 2020 at 8:19 pm

Do you have an opinion about name.com?

  36. goldyempiremusic on December 26, 2020 at 8:22 pm

thank you ON great VIDEO i ‘ve just found PORKBUN for $4.15 cent renews at 8.56 thanks to you .

  37. Bill Benton on December 26, 2020 at 8:22 pm

David…I was liking Hostinger…but the domain they give you is based on "shared hosting," no? I have two domain names (already registered..tho need to renew pretty quick)…and it seems like the "shared" is a loser. #2: On the registrars you mentioned, do they charge anything for domain name transfer? THANKS. zounds456@aol.com Appreciate your video!!
